Waterfall Done!

Here it is! My new backyard waterfall. Below are more pics on the effort it took. For instance, first a giant crane came into my side yard to lift the 500 pound boulder.

Then the big rock was hoisted over my fence to my backyard.

Two guys carefully lowered the boulder into position. Looks like Julio is holding the big rock ;) Finally, the wider view of the rock with the new landscaping (in the empty area as seen in the previous post below.)
90 second (Sunday morning) video says 90%, but there's quite a few details left. At least you can HEAR and see the waterfall now. Enjoy!

The Pelican (seen in the close-up pic) is a something I've had since 1979 from a Florida trip. It was handcarved by a vendor while we had dinner. Honestly!! It was broken, and almost trashed recently. I glued his neck and now he's enjoying water again! yay!!

okay, HERON (not pelican.) Mo corrected that factoid ;) And, you can see bare dirt -- soon to be filled in with more rock and plants -- and the iron pole (remnants of my old hammock.) That will have a vine winding around it by summer's end. There will be bird houses hanging from the remains of my cottonwood tree and vines on it, too. My backyard, like all nature areas, is a work in progress. thanks for viewing! Check for the video link (s) next.
